Companies who have adopted Google's Brand Indicators for Message Identification will see the checkmark appear beside their name, with a blurb confirming they own the domain and logo associated with the email. And it won't cost those businesses a dime.
The checkmarks began to roll out this week, and they join Twitter and Facebook's paid verifications, LinkedIn's badges, and countless others in attempting to lessen the likelihood of impersonation and fraud.
